Bill Clinton CFP®, CIMA®, CPWA®
I keep my practice small on purpose. I take on only a few new families each year, and only when the work is a real fit. That is not a marketing line. The planning I do around an inheritance, a divorce, an equity package, or the sale of a company takes real time, and it cannot be done well spread across hundreds of households.
Most of the people I work with have never worked with a financial advisor before. If that is you, you are in good company, and you do not need to arrive knowing the right questions or the right vocabulary. That part is my job.
Before I built this practice, I worked inside some of the largest firms on Wall Street. I started my career at Merrill Lynch, worked on the trading side at Barclays Capital, then spent years at two major investment firms, Oppenheimer and Mirae Asset. I have seen how the markets and the money actually work behind the scenes, which most advisors never have. When something big is on the line in your life, you want someone beside you who already knows that world and is not learning it for the first time alongside you.
I also know something about starting over. In my twenties I left upstate New York for the city, knowing almost no one, and built a career and a life from scratch. It taught me what a major change feels like without a map, which is close to what most of my clients are facing when they find me.
Most of them are women navigating a major transition, executives with complex equity compensation, or a small number of business owners preparing to sell. What they share is a moment that matters and one chance to get it right.
I hold the CFP®, CIMA®, and CPWA® designations, three of the more demanding credentials in the field, earned through the Investments and Wealth Institute and the Yale School of Management. For several years I also served as a teaching assistant for the CIMA® program at Yale, helping other advisors earn the designation, until my oldest son was born in 2018.
From my office in Chester, I work with families across Morris County and northern New Jersey. I live here too, with my wife, Ashlee, and our sons, Liam and Gavin. When I am not working, I am usually with them, in the gym, or being a long-suffering Rangers fan.
Bill resides in Chester, NJ with his wife Ashlee and sons Liam and Gavin. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and is a lifelong NY Rangers fan.
